Quiero por este medio expresar la repulsión y la indignación que cualquier hombre civilizado, democrático, o meramente humano siente ante la brutal, injustificada e inexpresablemente abyecta actuación de las tropas estadounidenses en Afganistán el 22 de agosto recién pasado, al bombardear el distrito occidental de Shindand, donde murieron 90 personas inocentes: quince mujeres, quince hombres y 60 personas de entre 1 y 18 años de edad, cuyo pecado fue encontrarse en el fuego cruzado del imperio y los fanáticos que este mismo creó en los 80.
Las leyes estadounidenses, escritas por hombres memorables por su sano juicio palidecen ante estas atrocidades cometidas por sus hijos, en nombre de la democracia, de la constitución y el derecho.
Las leyes del país del norte, escritas con el propósito inigualable de limitar el poder de los hombres se retuercen, al despegarse sobre el mundo el poder mas devastador que conociera jamás la humanidad, al lado del cual las hordas de Atila, el azote de dios, son meros aprendices.

Estimado Profesor: Respecto del tema del terrorismo y las medidas que el estado toma para, arbitrariamente, otorgar seguridad a la ciudadanía ante ataques terroristas externos (e internos, como el “terrorismo de estado”), a cambio de una creciente reducción de sus libertades y derechos fundamentales. ¿Considera usted alguna forma de detener tal solapada forma de “manosear” los derechos fundamentales, asumiendo que los ciudadanos están convencidos de que sólo cediendo “algunos” de esos derechos podrán evitar un ambiente de inseguridad donde reine el terrorismo?
